Companions in Mission
St Paul’s would like to hear your thoughts as part of the
‘Companions in Mission’ project! Two of the groups – the ‘Organisation and
Structure’ and the ‘Nurture and Outreach’ groups – will be approaching a
cross-section of the congregation to interview over the next couple of months.
Alun Ford, our ordinand on placement, may well be contacting you in the next
week to begin this process. I am delighted that this process is going forward
and that it gives us an opportunity as a community to consider where we want to
go in the future. I hope that you will be happy to respond, Deborah. Alun Ford
We are delighted to welcome Alun Ford to St. Paul's for his summer placement. Alun will be with us from 15th July to 15th August During this time Alun will be involved in leading worship and in various pastoral
activities, please make him feel welcome.
Alun is training for the priesthood at Westcott House, Cambridge.
Before starting at Westcott he worked in the University of London Library where he looked after the English collection (amongst other things). He grew up in Worthing on the south coast and went to university at Exeter in the early 1990s. He is interested in films, reading and music – particularly jazz – but also likes to run. One achievement since starting at Westcott has been to run along the river from Ely to Cambridge! At some point in the near future Alun hopes to take up the saxophone again – not an instrument he can play currently without disturbing the neighbouring flats.
Alun has been married to Carol for eleven years and they live in Victoria |
